What u all think abt this Sirui tripod setup which im saving up for?

Pricing of Sirui products in China and in Singapore are almost the same. So might as well buy in Singapore and enjoy the 6 years warranty.

Guess so too. Saw another China tripod brand here, Triopo. Don't know any good. Saw one YouTube video that the centre column wobbly. Big no no for me as I'm looking for a tripod with stable centre column. My Gitzo one also wobbly.

Thank you, iamveryclever. The info gives me an idea how much are Sirui prices here. Probably, I will buy locally rather than import from overseas. Even with free shipping, it should be cheaper here. Now, gotta find time to visit the shop.

Welcome! I saw another brand named jusino at alan photo. There is this model (I don't remember the model number), It has similar specs as the 2204 sirui series. It's priced at 450. I tried it and it is actually very sturdy and very light. That is why up till now I still can't make up my mind on which one brand to go for. I tried a velbon one too. It's sturdy and all. But is much more expensive compared to sirui and jusino. Spoilt for choice. Do update us when you get your tripod and let us know how is it! Thanks!

I'm actually attracted by sirui's 6 years warranty. But I wonder, let's say IF the tripod falls apart with our equipments mounted on it. What will tripod companies do about our loses?

Bought Sirui N2204 without ballhead. Tried the Triopo one but it's very slightly wobbly at the centre column. The Triopo felt slightly lighter and for the cost, it's the tallest in its class. Me a bit sucker for aesthetics, so went for the Sirui one. Personally, more expensive doesn't mean it's better. I had a Gitzo and realised recently dat it sucked. The Sirui N2204 should serve me well. Eventually, I might get the compact traveler series as a spare.

Now, I have a new dilemma. May have changed all my quick release systems to a new one. Currently using Manfrotto one. Wonder if there's a better system and more universal. Also, look for a new ballhead. Couldn't decide on the Sirui ballhead because the QR is different from all my setup.

N2204/N2205 same price. Difference? 3cm taller with 5 sections. Slightly less stable.

I think like all manufacturers, the warranty is a limited one. Can bet with you dat somewhere in the clauses of the warranty, it probably says dat usage of their product is not liable for any losses. Just like you buy hard disk and backup your data and it up the lorry in three months. Got three to five years warranty also no use because data gone liao and the hard disk manufacturers say not their problem. All the same. Every business has some clause to save their own backside.

Hi A.T.!

How's your sirui N2204 performance, is it ok for it's price? I'm looking at N2205 with k20x ballhead - i want to buy them in the next couple of weeks but i was a little concern when you said it's slightly less stable than N2204, hmmm. Thanks!
