hvnt done any serious shooting with DA15 yet so dun really have any sample to show..

but pinholecam sum up quite nicely about the pros and cons of UWA zoom and UWA prime..i do not have a sigma 10-20 but i do have a pentax 12-24...I got the DA15 for its starburst effect and the smallness of it and i have no problems to bring both lenses out since 12-24 will make a pretty good walkabout lens because of its 20-24mm range..DA 15 will be for times when I dun need the 12mm and when i want that starburst effect especially during daytime when i want to shoot against the sun...

between UWA zoom and UWA prime..i would personally go for the zoom first because its much more versatile...

Given the environment I used my camera I am better off buying lens with WR capability. Here's hoping for the 12-35 WR to happen. I am happy with the 18-135 and 100DFA for now. The DC (18-135) is really an under-rated motor, fast, reliable and silent!

Just got my Sigma 10-20mm f/3.5 Am very happy with the purchase. Still is getting used to the lense. I must get a steady tripod to take landscape photo like some wonderful examples by forumers in here.

I have the worst LBA in the world, here is what I do I go through all the Pentax lenses that I want not that I need, as I don't need any more, but put them in my WISH LIST on Amazon and then every other month or so I study the ones I don't have and I try not to buy one. I still have all the Pentax camera and lenses from 1960 to date never sold anything never know when you need it. God loves LBA people!!!

Been quite a sometimes i reply to this Tread, for me too many manual lens and only 1 kit lens
with my K20D which i like best and my best lens that never left behind K135/2.5. Can't think
of any future lens right now.....only FF camera from PENTAX>>>>>>.

Wish I use my k135 more often. Love how well built and good it feels in hand and in use..

Also wish to try a fisheye lens someday, though I doubt I'll be any good at fisheye photos.

for my case, I bought into Pentax specifically for the DA15. So naturally my first lens purchase was the DA15. Then I got a K55, used it a lot for gigs, but sometimes it does not provide enough reach. So I got a K135, which is one solid performer! Realised that people get pissed when I took my time to lock focus on their faces using manual primes, so I got a Tammy 28-75.

Next lens I wanna get is probably the FA 77. Hmmm...

you guys are indeed very knowledgeable, the lens is a Leica Summicron R 50mm f2.

it came adapted to pentax mount already although i cant get it to focus to infinity. not sure if thats normal

Hmm, I read somewhere that the Pentax 50/1.7 is a better lens. It's faster, can focuse closer, and doesn't need to be converted to mount on K5






Kiddding aside, congrats on another new toy. Looks it's in fantastic condition
