The 200mm f/2 is amazing...!
200 mm f/2
Thanks diediealsomustdive,
this 200 F2 is too huge for me already:

My apologies, I should have specified 135 to 150, or lens without "that leg support" (not sure what you called it ... )
Thanks
Yes bro, my initial thought was to see what's everyone's favourite portrait lensYou did ask for our favourite FX portrait lens![]()
I just realised some of them are too huge for me especially those with legsNow you're asking us to list out lens that are 135-150 without leg support ?
Yes, preferably AFAny other requirements ? AF/MF ? Noisy/Quiet ?
Yes, the Olympus 75mm F1.8 has superb bokeh ...You already have a 150mm equiv exceptional portrait lens. The 75/1.8 in your signature. It acts like a 150mm/f3.6 on FF but with the light gathering ability of an f1.8 lens.
Maybe not for the bodies you say...but this one is the heavy hitter.
I see ... thanksAny lens 135mm and longer and f/2 or larger will be very large. It's called physics the smallest lens in that league with AF is the 135mm f/2DC.
After reading all the posting here, looks like the 85 F1.8 is a good compromise ...The only other lens fitting your spec is the 200mm f/2. You have a very exacting requirement. I use 85/1.8, 105/2.5 (manual focus) and 180/2.8. None in your exacting league.
After reading all the posting here, looks like the 85 F1.8 is a good compromise ...
One more option. 105 f2 DC, the other Nikkor DC lens.
Again quite an old design but optically stronger than the 135 f2 DC with similar unique rendering.
If you value sharpness more, get the 85/1.8. If you value character more (very subjective I know), then get the 105/2 DC.
I see ... thanks
So, the closet to my requirement is the 135 F2 then ...

Thanks bro
What Nikon Body and Lenses you using now.... your signature is all M4/3 Crop and Non Nikon ???

The 105/2DC is also easier to use then the 135/2DC (And cheaper slightly) I've even used it for random street shooting.
Thread-starter: As much as specs are nice to read (apertures and focal lengths), its more important to actually use the lens and give it a try. Everyone has different styles of shooting. Your best bet is to borrow from friends, or rent it to give it a go.

I think he has a lot of other gears too. Probably Nikon and Fuji too, just that he didnt put it in his signature.
