What is your favourite aperture to take photographs at?

i wish to revote no longer f5.6 is my favourite...

ever since i move on to primes, i like to shoot at f2 or f2.8 most of the time.

Hi, f2.0/f2.8 for most purposes.

Tough question, I don't have a single f/stop that I favor the most, but my favourite range is

f/1.4-2 For low/available light shots (I use this a lot).

f/8-11 For sunny outdoors as this is the sweet spot of most lenses.

I don't usually use the smallest aperture unless shooting landscape or buildings. f/11 is enough to shoot big groups.

yea really! shooting events, i realised how f2.8 isnt going to get me anywhere. images are fine if u print them 4r, but i like details more. f8 can get me the details i want, f4, f5.6 is fine too. i seldom touch 1.8, 2.8 unless i have no choice.

kinda regretted getting tamron now, once i realise that i dun need so wide open so often. shld had gotten a 10-22mm.:angry:

yep. my style is to get the moment for events.
due to limitations of my 450d, af isnt always spoton so i'll compensate by just making my aperture smaller;p

i love f4, f5.6, f8

somehow i cant stand soft images. if i shoot a person's face, f8 is something i like. details, details, more details...
