wide open. no point buying f1.4 and f2.8 lenses to shoot at f/8.

I like f22 and f32 (or the smallest aperture on my lens) when shooting landscape. It offers me great dof.

No favourite. I think most photographers choose apertures according to situation.

For me:

Group shots, f/5.6 to f/8
Portraits, wide open.
Landscapes, f/8 to f/11
Lazy days, switch to P mode and let camera select for me.

Use to be f4 90% of the time...... but now mostly f5.6 because of my kid.... :)

Same as synapseman, Group photo has to be f/5.6 to f/8

Hi, I use 5D2 & 24-105mm f4l to shoot indoor portrait and 5d2 with 85mm f1.8 oudoor portrait

o.O

How come you use a slower lens indoors and a faster lens outdoors?

haha i agree that this thread is pointless.

Hey, how come don't have f/1.2?? ;p

depends on light meter and focal length ....
how to have fav !!!!!

wow...i vote f2.8 and i found out it to be the highest in the poll

wow, I also vote f2.8 leh, I need to shoot fast motion so no choice lor.LOL:confused:But I feel it is also very good for this thread, indirectly they r giving away information on shooting with different situation.:bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie:

Don't read too much into it man. There's really no such thing as a "favourite" aperture setting, only appropriate aperture settings for different situation.

most pano shot with at least F/8.0 :bsmilie:

Still not enough leh It should be in vertical holding and manual focusing with very fast shooting to avoid light differences in very short period of time.add:bsmilie::bsmilie::bsmilie: 1/4 overlapping each shoot.

my fav is the max aperture of the lens im using. ;)

yup! this thread doesnt make sense...no vote for me
