In terms of quality, the best is the B300. The next nearest would be the Fuji TL-FX9.

where to get a new b300?
or 2nd hand one
anyone selling?

btw how much for one?
heard its discontinued...:dunno:

i think another good one should be the raynox 1850 pro.

Does the sony teleconvertor 1.7x work on it?

thanks!

hi.... am using the sony vcl-r2052 (2X tele) with my s602 and it works just fine.... fyi

The only drawback about the 1850 pro is the issue of CA, which some people can't tolerate.

Yes.

But I heard it's big, heavy and expensive.

Btw, moderators, shouldn't this thread be in the Fujifilm sub-forum?

It's indeed much better than the 1800 but I read that CA is still an issue.

You can check out some sample pics over here:

mm... that's wierd, or could it be coz of cam problem also?

I'm don't think it's the cam problem 'coz the B300 works perfectly without any CA on the 602z. There has been quite a lot of debate on the 1850pro over at dpreview and as there's a fair amount of 1850 supporters over there. Perhaps, it's quite a subjective issue.

Maybe when you get it, you can post some sample shots for comparison.

Qualitywise, the R2052 can't compare with the Olympus B300 or the Raynox 1850 Pro though. Also, the 2052 performs less than the 2x specified. Think it's around 1.7x-1.8x from Tweek's experience.

Moving this thread to Consumers Corner.
