what is that blue line formed

whenever i aim my camera at any light soruce.. bulb or street lamp or whatever.. a blue color line will form across the lcd screen from the camera be it at night or day time ..
2) the screen also seems very high noise, despite of whatever setting i changed to .. but once focus. things get a little better..

my friends said its due to faulty set.. would like to confirm with any gurus here.. pls help

I am using a fuji s5700..
any help will be appreciate

Is there any blue line in the final picture?
If not, I wouldn't worry about it.

It's probably just flare that the sensor can't handle when on continuous preview

final pix not that obovious, only a little blue spot.. not the entire line...

The little blue spot is probably because the light source is very overexposed compared to the rest of the picture. It's normal.
