what happen to Tribute to drumma, deadpoet thread?

As a curious bystander, can you explain why, if both threads were in violation of CS terms of use, one thread was allowed to run for several days, however, once the other thread appeared, it was pulled within 1 hour ?
I can imagine that there were individual posts in these threads that may have been in violation but to delete the entire threads? If that was the basis on which these entire threads were deleted then 1/2 the threads in CS would need to be deleted.
It seems that the slope down which CS is headed is getting steeper by the day. I think it may be time to change the logo to something like "alienate long time contributers at all costs".

Its very clear what and why those threads are deleted. Flamewars are always something we try to avoid at all costs.
CS values long time contributors but that doesnt mean when we delete post, it means we are alienating any member. You folks have a choice of posting, but that doesnt mean CS has to accept every posts. We have the right to edit or delete post as we feel is for the best of our forum.
For most of the times, we tried to keep things in low profile to avoid direct confrontation online. I don't like to engage in a full PR war with any member or website but if this is what it takes to protect the interest of this forum, we will stand up for ourselves.
I appreciate suggestions to make things better, but just comments like yours aren't helping. In fact it makes things worse.
Admins and Mods are volunteers who don't work fulltime here. We have work, family and life outside the forum to manage. And even when we are online, we don't scan all sub-forums. I personally don't scan all threads in Kopitiam. We really on mods/SU and members to notifiy us if theres anything that needs our attention.
Even we are notified of certain threads, we need time to read thru and evaluate the content. Alot of you may think we just delete posts without reading or understanding what is it about. And there are lots of time things arent that simple right from the start. We need time to digest. There are times that we need to seek comments from other bystander because we may not even know whats actually happening.
Its really hard to manage every member expectations here. Just quoting one member msg to me,
Don't enforce rule, get complained, enforce rule also get complained.
If you guys are asking for SLAs (1-5 min, 1 hour, 1 day, etc..) on the mode of operation in this forum, let me know. I will look into how we can engage full time staffs for this forum.
Alternatively if anyone feels they can do a better job in moderating one of the most controversial subforum in CS, I am more than happy to engage his/her help.

Thanks Jason. Rather do business, link up business opportunities for clubsnap rather than engaging in any flame wars.
But I do think its necessary to clarify on the posting of Drumma's original pictures in a Open forum in Clubsnap. Do we want to encourage young photographers to shoot such pictures and package it as Art? Post it here and use Drumma's precedent to justify its legitimacy?
Just food for thought.

This incident happened more than a year ago. He has since change the pictures to links and finally removed the picture links/post entirely when I messaged him
Subsequent action that lead to the current situation, which i felt moderators should not have commented on Drumma's action initially

As for the pictures he posted. I reposted under this thread that you have removed for everyone and the admin to comment.
Just need you kind folks to make a statement and set the record right once and for all. The CS threads can be googled nowadays and the bashing and flaming arent doing anyone good.
Hence, for the no of days that my tribute thread has been on and the short duration of my tribute back to them. I dont even have a chance to clarify a lot of stuff. Hope you can understand how I feel when business associates come and talk to me about this.
Nevertheless, its a tough job balancing all these and I salute you guys for all the hardwork. Nothing is perfect but making a strong stand will certainly make CS a better place.

Here are the pictures again that sparked this 2 year flame war.
Should CS allows budding photographers to post such pictures as art and send out a wrong message to all young photographers that its ok to shoot such pictures as art. Long time contributors are supporting his action.

I believe we have made our stand very clear, pictures like these will be deleted. I cant possilbly define the exact lines on what allowed and disallowed since no one can ever come up with a clear definition. But we do work on case by case basis on these issues.

Do you support the propaganda style ditch out by many CSers to support the shooting of these pictures? Make your stand first, then we can have a meaningful discussion?
Any options from Csers here to resolve this issue once and for all is greatly appreciated.

Tuck, we have already removed the offending pictures and I consider this case is closed.
I can't possibly go back to every backdated post and work on it. I believe I have made my stand very clear in my previous post.
In fact, if you have not digged out that thread for reference, many people won't have remember or know about this. And people dont usually google search for a specific case like this unless they have some good or bad intents in the 1st place.
I will suggest that you don't dig out old cases like this anymore. It serves no help and in fact it may cause more negative effects on you.
