What happen to today's Channel 5 news?

Er, have you guys realized the news does not start on time? :dunno: ...... suppose to be 9.30pm?

The EXACT date was 15 Aug 2011, Monday and time was 9.30pm.
The English News on Channel 5 was not shown. In its place was a series of short clips informing viewers of other TV programmes.
There was NO explanation by the MediaCorp. None immediately after nor in the next few days.

Some of us thought MM had a serious stroke or passed away and the news media panicked and did not know what to do. Whether to report or not to report.
If report wrongly, can get into serious trouble.
So just cancel the news.

Since MM is healthy after that and appeared in public, that was not the EVENT.
What exactly was the EVENT, no one will ever know.
But it must be tremendously IMPORTANT. And so secret that they do not want to talk about it, nor let you know.

Definitely not something trivial like newscaster did not turn up or technical equipment broke down.
