Congrats! Don't worry, I'm using the J1, it's a competent camera and a joy to use. Took it to Melaka on a recent trip and left it on auto mode, took good pictures (for me) in all conditions, even low light.

No, I bought a Lowepro Streamline 100 bag for my J1 and 1 extra lens, very nice fit, stays in the bag all the time.
