If you are using wood tripod, before setting it up, check to make sure that there are no termites on the ground! :D Kidding.

I bought one of those cheap tripods from Carrefour, and the strap on the cover's about to break off now..

Besides sewin it back, cos tht's really tedious.. Any ideas where I can get tripod covers?

Well, no offence really but what you pay for is what you get. Maybe try Cathay Photo at Peninsula? There is a tripod section there which sells tripod bags as well. Get a cheap one, think the Slik tripod bag costs ~$15? Or any generic cheap type will do as well. So long as it fits ur tripod.

Hi

I am not expert in Tripod, hence, need to seek advice from all the Clubsnap Jedi Knight and Jedi Masters.

I am currently having a Sony Cybershot F828 (weigh about 1 kg),
my Sony F32X Flashlight (weight about 260 grams),
and Sony Teleconverter (weight about 560 grams),
when combine together, the total weight would be around 2 kgs.
Though it is not DSLR, it is quite heavy as a digicamera.

There are good tripod brand in the market, like Slik, Manfroto and so on.
Although I have done research and looking around, I still cracking my head and unable to decide which is better.

I like to take marco shot, night shot , scenery hot , telephoto shots and holiday photo taking; mountains, seas, would like to go to archaelocial place like Cambodia and so on.
Please comment which is better base on my needs and requirement.
Should I take a heavy or light one.
Which ball head and price???

Btw, this tripod costs me S$50 and its my second one. The 1st one was a cheapo which cause me abt S$20.
