Errr, yupe! For macroscopic considerations, 3 degrees of translational and 3 degrees of rotational.

Is a Manfrotto 329 head too heavy for a Manfrotto 190pro tripod?
Or would a Manfrotto 055pro tripod be a better choice?

055 is much heavier than 190Pro. then u will get a heavy tripod plus heavy head.

Both tripod should be ok for the head...

Get the tripod in according to your height, max load and budget.

Ok. But the 329 head really feel a little too heavy 4 the 190pro.

The 055pro is taller in height & sturdier too, but heavier leh.

My height 1.77m, so a 190pro + 329 head + camera, the view finder above my line of sight liao.

Still thinking of the 055pro...

Should be ok.. Remeber your camera+len weight is much more than the head. If the combine weight dun exceed the max load or very near to it.. THink should be not problem.

Anyway, it is good pratise to take the camera off the tripod when you are not shooting and to loop the strap over your neck when it is on the tipod. You never know when someone or yourself will trip over it.

I've got the Manfrotto 190pro tripod with the RC141 standard head. Was looking at this SILK ballhead that CP was trying to sell me. going on about the little adjustment nob to the side which allowed slight adjustments....Anyone have one of these..any problems?

Slik BallHead 800? It's pretty good for its price. I don't have it though ;p
