depends how much you want to spend. If you want solid yet cheap around $150 then have to be something big like the Slik u212 http://www.clubsnap.com/forums/showthread.php?t=450021

then of course, there are the the options from Benro, Yongnuo and so on. Try them out and see which one suits your usage and your budget best.

Just gotten the Velbon Neo Carmagne 640A - Lovin' it!

although it is not so steady.. but it works fine... ^^

Still new to this hobbit. Not sure what is good or what is the important of a branded one. So for now anything that is cheap and usable I will use it.

Tripod, it's one price, one quality. Basically you are paying for rigidity, stability and weight for an exp one.

I just bought a Slik Pro 400DX for $200. Original price: $400 (CPP).

Recently acquired a GT1541 with M10 BH.

really depends where you will be using the tripod. For city use, even the usually given free tripod is okay with the kit lens. Its when you want to go outdoors with a heavy camera that you need a tough tripod.

what happens usually is,

if have money get the latest tripods available.

if limited budget then look for old school tough tripods going at clearance price.

Still using my $25 Digipod... It shakes alot, Thinking of getting a manfrotto. ;)

Guys, dun mind me asking. May I know which are the shops in Singapore that sells a wide range of Manfrotto and gitzo tripods? Would like to visit these shops to see which tripods suit my needs.

Thanks.

In Cityhall area there are several including Cathay Photo.

Anyone tried the "Fancier" tripod? Saw it selling at the Mass Sales section.... Is it stable & light?
