What bag to use for Pentax K-x??

One more vote for Crumpler. Either Crumpler 5m or 6m will fit your bill and useagle. Persnally I'm using the Crumpler 6m, which replaced my Billingham, no regret :)

I love my Crumpler 7m $ bag.
I can even chuck a Benro travel angel tropid into it.

yup my crumpler fills the aesthetics and camera comfort gap :)

since i use a 5m home ill just explain how much I can fit in there atm, with the small 50mm f2, 18-55mm stock, 50-200mm DA its pretty much a complete amateur set from a wide (zoom) to a potrait and a telezoom :) nothing fancy but it covers every aspect of general photography or at least my needs.

My recent acquisition of a 50 1.4 would replace my f2 but no issue as the compartmentalization of the 5m home can be adjusted so if u have a huge lens on the left and a small lens on the right u can change the Velcro settings. Weight would be ur worse enemy in this case, just need to know ur lens weights and balance them well :)

They have 2 side slots, a Velcro slot in front with webbing to keep documents, papers and ur memory cards.

Lemme post some pictures to illustrate the setup and you can see for urself if its sufficient or not :D

Top flap has a webbing which can be accessed by a zipper, pretty self explanatory, I put my microfibre and cue tips in there.

This is how the compartment tab looks like if u remove it

And finally, this is how it will look with the current items inside.
1. Pentax SF7 with SMC Pentax-F 35-70mm (non-af as my other thread has explained zzz)
2. DA 50-200mm (right side)
3. DAL 18-55mm (left side)
4. Pentax-A 50mm F2 (bottom center, so the camera's own lens takes the top part of the center compartment)
5. Batteries (AA) on the right pocket (alkaline batteries for illustration, i have about 100+ for travel usage haha, incase I cant find a charging point)
6. All flap items remain unchanged.

I believe Its hard to visualize whats inside ... so I laid them out for you to make an estimate on what kind of lenses you would be getting (all pancakes? or all zooms?)

So without further a due, here it is :))

thanks for the effort kneonx

how much did it cost u and is there anymore room left after u put all these stuff in?

Well the left side pocket is unused, the flaps are flat due to minimal items, and well if u go by rule of thumb that lens should have their own spaces so that u don't get any collision wear and tear, I'd say lens wise ur pretty much filled. unless you have enough micro fiber or similar soft cloth to wrap ur lens, stick to 3 lens for safety.

i bet you could still put in a couple of filters, extra battery, a white card to bounce your flash. speaking of which, if you use external flash, you may find this setup cramp for the same amount of lens or maybe even impossible due to the sheer size of it. but if you put flash into consideration you could put 1 lens on body, 1 lens in any compartment and maybe be like me and put 2 relatively smaller lens in the middle.

Or, since you know the setup of a crumpler, you can buy a 6m or 7m accordingly ;) thats pretty much the beauty of it.

nah, i wont be getting a flash.. that'll have to wait for at least a year..

will be carrying 2-3 lenses ard and 2 filters maybe? and of coz batteries..

my main concern is to put in some class notes and a bottle for my drinking water..

oh yeah, how much did it cost u?

I would suggest keeping that water battle real far :) As much as I'd advocate drinking habits due to my very recent departure from military life. Accidents do happen, just make sure they don't happen to you :) Ur better off hand holding that bottle or make sure your bottle is very very durable and spill proof, while you may be protective consciously, its the subconscious moments where things go awry, or someone may knock into your bag etc.

As for damage to wallet, it cost me $100 :) Got it at Wheelock's Crumpler shop. Sold slightly cheaper due to it being display (last) piece. And it looked decent so why not!

nice..
but as u've said, drinking water is good, specially going under the hot sun shooting stuff~

maybe i should consider the lowepro sling
or something else that has a net at the side..

Went to AP simlim just now.. They quote 60 but only left blue color... Walk over to AP at funan... no stock. Walk passed s bro and saw a black color piece.. they initially quote 79 then say give 10% discount and round down so 70 buck. I just told them it's expensive and said outside selling 60... then the sales person say he need to do a check... After checking, he say 60 okie.. so I settle for 60. A happy man now. :D
