One more question,

if i wont be able to buy a n extension tube for my 50mm,. ill just use my 18-200mm lens for mostly landscape phtogrphy, do i need to bring a tripod if the outing is until 6pm only?

ive never been to PalauUbin so i still have a vague idea of what to see/shoot there..

hope you guys could enlighten me. TIA!!

Hi... U can check it out for e extension tube @ this site : www.tagotech.com,
but what they're w/o AF assist... (<$50)
If u want it with AF assist, u can go to shops to look for Kenko, which is around $200++...

IMHO, kenkos are worth getting cause you retain the AF confirmation and you're able to AF using your lenses and also practically make every lens (primos) mainly a close up capable lens !!

Thanks, i actually saw that brand at the Buy&Sell section being sold for $25 but when im doing my research the prices for the brands that they're recommending are $100-$200, so i was wondering y so much price difference.. now i know its bcoz of the AF assist..

so getting the one w/o the AF assist is not worth getting at all? i mean coz im still exploring the macro photog and i dont want to invest so much on something that i wont be using always.. coz im more into travel and landscape phtography but i also want shoot macro from time to time..

Thanks by the way for your responses..

well well well....
went to PU for praying today and also survey the place a little....
well, the cycling was....
TIRING......

btw, the boat trip is now $2.50 per head...

Luckily we'll be walking.....
i believe it will be much better..... :bsmilie:

And PLEASE BE REMINDED.....
go there with the least items that u need....
it will be a real load as the time goes by....
you won't feel it initially....

SKY, tried the belt without the webbing today....
guess i'll be putting on the webbing on that day.... :bsmilie:

Hey peeps,

Thanks for organizing, I will be using a compact Panasonic LX 3 (first camera, first trip lol). So yea wondering which group will be more suitable for me (scenery, bird or macro)?
Thanks!

yup.. seconded NEORO opinion. worth the $ if u r into macro. else, for those who r about to embarked and still finding their way rounds, at a cheaper options, cld get the tagotech gadget at a fraction of the cost.

our bro Jacknienum had been trying out to do a DIY stuff. For those who wanna follow suit, cld PM our bro as to how this cld be achieve. Am thinking of doing such as well.
there's link somewhere in this thread, (u gotta backtrack this thread for the link) and it do teaches how to achieve this. Base on the suggestor trial and error.

Hope this is informative.

Cheers....

My camera's exhibiting the same problems once again..
Just went back to Nikon Service Centre.
Still no clue of what's going on..
Changed a screw for my 50mm f/1.4 and 17-35 f/2.8.
Was told to go back if the problem persists..

Changed once before.
Got technician Lim to speak to his manager regarding possibility of upgrading.
Am pretty disappointed in the camera as it's considered to be a professional camera (due to being able to register it for N.P.S.).
I'm sure I'll visit them pretty soon.
Anyway..
The service centre is just above my office.
Ain't too bad for me I think..
