Welcome back to a new-look ClubSNAP for 2011


Good job over-all. Good to have Club Snap back!

I know that it will take a few days to work out the bugs but just to let you know that I'm no longer receiving e-mail notifications for new posts in the threads that I'm subscribed to. I haven't received a single e-mail notification since the shut-down.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the improvements over the next few weeks/months!
 

Can you share which grey text you are referring to so that we can take a look and decide if need to make clearer?

nice to hv CS back but i find the colors too bluish...still prefer the old format and colors
 

I have also just noticed another bug. Not sure if it occurs to me only or some others have faced it.
I tried posting on a thread in the Landscape section.
Then I click on 'What's New' half expecting to see the thread up there as per last time, but I cannot see that thread which I have just posted in.
The [What's New] button will list the threads/posts that are new to you. Since you just posted in a thread (and assuming no one posted after you), the thread is not new to you since you were the last poster - makes sense?

i think there is some problem at canon b&s, i am also waiting to post but give the guys some time to sort things out...generally no comments about the look and feel and i wonder if its me, it seems to be much faster. but there is 1 small area that is killing old man like me. In the profile page, some of the fonts can barely be read. its the top left hand corner where i normally look for my own thread in b&s.
The Canon Buy/Sell section has been fixed (funny how one character in one wrong place can stuff up the entire thing) thus please start posting your items for sale.

Noted on the profile page, was not deemed a show-stopper (like the Canon Buy/Sell) thus was lower priority.

I have found the problem with regards to some of CS members encountering login issues. I, too have the same problems with both my laptops at home and I were almost giving up till I go to 'rant' at HWZ. A member who was able to login suggested using mobile devices and I immediately try using my iPhone on Singtel 3G, and voilà! It works. From there, I know the problem is due to ISPs. To further strengthen my point, I connect my iPhone to my home network and try acessing via my Starhub's broadband, and immediately, I met with the same login issues. Switched back to my Singtel 3G and everything's back to normal.

Conclusion, Singtel / Singnet users should have no problem with the new revamped site. Starhub users, No Go.

I've encountered no problems logging in using the Starhub connection at home.
 

Color contrast needs real improving.

I've noticed several comments about the colors/contrast/general readability of text.

Strange, cos it looks perfectly fine to me.

I stand corrected. I guess most people who've commented are talking about some of the text in the left column under "My Profile".
 

Its look like at the Canon B&S section, under the Thread Title and Equipment Model, the description had been 'cut'......:dunno:..... btw, I'm using Starhub, don't know is it the issue ?

Any way, I had been with ClubSNAP for 8 years, good to see the new change ..:thumbsup:

Finally I am in!!!!! I have been stranded outside in the rain for a day trying to come in.. finally I got in..
 

The iPad and iPhone version cannot access to the server at all. Is this a system problem or it just mine having it?

I'm wondering if anyone faces difficulties with logging in using the iPhone ClubSNAP app.
 

the reply/posting via iphone/ipad app has not been re-installed yet as the Admins are solving the more serious issues. please be patient?

I have encountered the same login issues.

Cannot login at home using StarHub Maxonline with either Firefox/IE browsers. In office, using Pacnet connection it's fine using Chrome/IE. Shall try to use Chrome at home to test later. But I doubt it's a browser issue.

Any suggestions?

I've been using Starhub with Safari without any problems. I can check with Firefox when I'm home.

I've noticed that the signature is aligned 'right' of the page...

Would it be better for it to return to align 'left' instead?


Yeah, prefer it on the left too
 

I *really* hate the "Reply to Thread" blue button at the bottom-left. If you already click on "Reply" (which is TINY on the bottom-right) then type away, the "Reply to Thread" button looks like a Submit button. If you click it, all that you typed is gone.
