An agreement. A guide. A map ... when things get confusing, or messy, or when peoples' feelings change, or, in the worst case scenario, a clear reference of what was agreed, especially when there's unhappiness.
I don't understand why so many locals, or Asians think a written agreement is like a seal on their coffin or something truly evil!![]()
You are spot on. Asians, especially the older business men take it as an insult when a written contract is proposed. They take it as a sign of not being able to trust their word. In fact, working with relatives are more tricky than working with other people. They tend to forget details whenever it suits them.
