just to clear up a common misconception.. out of focus rendition is more a function of optical design than aperture blades; how smooth or nervous it is depends more on how optical engineers designed the lens to perform (correction of spherical abberation for example). the rounded blades simply help to keep point sources of light circular when you stop down. in this case since it was shot wide open there'd be no difference between 2 and 200 blades =) but yes, the lens isn't too shabby in this regard. have fun!
