But the photos above are clear to see. I think the AiS version is clearly superior to the rest of the lenses, although the E75-150 at f/5.6 could well be a little sharper than the AiS version.
If you look at the CA and overall soft photos wide open, perhaps KCCHEW's CA issue for the AiS lens is caused by coating that is compromised?
I have the AiS 80-200mm f/4 and Ai (late verson, square window at rear) f/4.5, but did not test them due to lack of time. That will be another "tale" for another day?
And as this thread is about our well loved manual lenses, no AF, AFD or AFS 105mm f/2.8 Micro-NIKKORs are included.
I had an AF 105mm micro briefly, and it had the same obvious CA as shown in your prior AIS post especially at the rims of highlights as well, only to be significantly improved in the AFS 105 micro.
