Thanks for trying to help. I was trying to use html code from another website, flickr. So after a bit of research on CS I realised that we have to post our images on CS and use the BB code from there.

You are welcome, show us your old Nikkor photo. :bsmilie:

Please tell us the story in this picture.
Why all those numerous numbers on the stones and everywhere?
Where was this shot taken?
If I hazard a guess; it's some medium's("tang kee's") domain and those numbers are written by folks who are going to buy them at the 4D.

Thanks for your interested,The photo I took in a Chinese style Malay temple in Kusu Island in Singapore last year.
You are right, some body pray numbers and write there to buy Toto or 4D.

$4388 - if $$ is not in great supply, there are better ways of spending that kind of money. That amount is just about right for a D800, give or take a bit.

Anyway, 2 Saturdays ago I went for a walk on the Changi boardwalk in the late afternoon. I was only armed with my 105mmF2.5 and 50mmF2HC. Most of the time I was using the longer lens, even for landscapes. I am not much of a scene shooter, but I found that this short tele worked fairly nicely.

The sky that afternoon was overcast; providing a cloudy bright condition and soft shadows. No distinct blue sky and clouds. Still, die die must shoot.

Here's the first shot:

ISO100 f/5.6 1/640s

Then I zoomed in (with my feet, of course), in 2 minutes(UsianBolt would have zoomed in less than 10secs) for a closer view:

Thanks for viewing.

Whew, v busy this week. Here's a shot by the 85mm f2 AI in the meantime. Its really soft wide open, below was shot at about f2.8 of f4, can't remember. I think the f1.8 is better than this.

pretty sure one of the peninsular shops has a copy

Cheers bro, new or second hand ? wanting new.... and thx for your tip ;)

Most of the peninsular shops sell second hand manual lenses. If you want brand new.....your best bet would be eBay.

Try the B/W effect.

Thanks -- agree totally! It sure is hard to correct all the optical aberrations at a large aperture like f1.4. To my knowledge, only Leica can do so, and they don't come cheap. Probably, like Nikon demonstrated with the 58mm f1.2 Noct, other camera makers are able to do the same, but how many of us will fork out more than $4k for the pleasure of shooting nice contrasty images at f1.4 or 1.2?

When I shot Leica M9-P I used a Leica 50mm f/1. 4 ASPH .... at a crazy $4900 !!! Decided TWO pro systems were not for me so stuck it with my Nikon / Nikkor's..... I'm a happier person for this. :)
