It depends. While i agree in general with ellery, i 've shot with my friends as well as FOR some of them as well. Nowadays, you have to "BUY" your gown and the amount of time you can hold on to your gown is pretty long.
To be honest, i did for some friends of mine, and for my own brother. I rented a studio, got some makeup artiste to do the makeup and got the shots that they wanted. for my own family, my total output was $120. for my friends....heheheh.....ellery is right to say its DEFINITELY not $100 only .... but main thing is, the pictures turned out the way they wanted
While i woudln't be overly paranoid with giving others a chance, its still impt to bear in mind who has the ability to PULL the shoot off and who can't.
Ultimately, i think we all have to think, if you don't try, u won't know.
Chunger> my 2 cts. Since you can do the job, y don't you give it a try. Yes, its probably going to stress u out for the next 1-2 weeks mentally preparing or even physically preparing for the shoot, but i assure you that post that one time "siong siong" experience, you will either make or break. I trust that you're detailed enough to be able to plan and execute those sessions to what your friends need. communication is NOT the key, thats just a tool. CORRECT communication is the key to the lock. Your friends prolly know you and prolly can "click" alot better than others, Make use of that advantage!
If you're hesitant to give it a shot yourself, it'll always be difficult to gain an experience
thats just my neng jiam
