Last Supper

This is an oil painting and this image is taken inside the Louvre Museum.. ... and its actually taken with my trustworthy Canon Ixus II (3.2Mega Pixel)

Manual set exposure by +/-1 and had 5 images (include original) tonemapped in Photomatix.

Later, fine tweak in CS4 to bring out the flavor, especially in Shadows/Highlights, Curve, Saturation and USM..

Thank you for viewing the images that I had posted so far. Hope all of you have enjoyed it and some may not, pardon me.

Sad to say, this will be my last post for this thread as been so busy lately due to work and family commitment. Thus, no time for further posting...

Hey guys, what do you adjust to make the noise lesser and preserve details??? i'm playing and experimenting on the photomatix but can't really find the exact combination/setting..

i like this very much, great use of HDR to acheive the nice lighting and details. though i'm not really a fan of radioactive HDRs, but there are some interesting and ones you have there... looking forward for more

Hi Billy,

If you tonemapping with single RAW file, you will experimenting more noise.

Thus, there is couple of way to reduce it:

1. ISO 100 (the usual..) and use bracketing shooting. Say +/- 1 or 2, depends on your preference.

2. With single RAW file, use VERY HIGH Light Smoothing, set Micro Smoothing to higher than 5. The higher better to smoothen noise but trade off is the image looks flatten.

3. Or can use Noise reduction s/w at later stage after you complete tonemapping and fine tweakin at PS.

Metering Modes: Evaluative metering
ISO Speed: 200
Focal Length: 17.0 mm

x6 images taken handheld stitched together with using Canon Stitch S/W creating this panoramic image.

Manual expose image to +/-1; merged and tonemapped with Photomatix and further fine processing done in CS4 to balance the shadows and brigthen up the bottom part (building) as the day is pretty much overcast with thick cloud.
