better start filtering off the ports from the firewall ... that's the first measure to contain the worm
 

Hehehe, while posting here, I'm still scanning the webserver with the new tool symantec just released, "fixesbot.exe" Darn, this one is strong! :bigeyes:


BTW, U mean SP2 ever block off any virus? :p

Windows seem to be a worm magnet.

Get a Macintosh. ;)
 

Its not a matter of block off.. its a matter of whether:

1. the firewall filtering is in place (if this was in place and network admins been reading up on viral activity for the past few days, should have blocked the ports used by this virus)

2. switch off unused services and make sure the machines are patched.

Mac :think: The success of ipod is dependant on microsoft technology.

Windows OS is a big challenge for both hackers and virus programmers a big sense of acheivement to break their security.
