Various landscape photos

#44 - Felt that the "Dark water" spoil the photo. The sunset looks pleasing but other than that, felt that the photo lack of subject. Same applies for #46.

OK. Yep, did contemplate whether to cut that part out or leave the bank (blackened) in. You're right, it's prob better out totally.

At 10.30pm, we err... didn't dare to include too many subjects in also :bsmilie: (cannot take pavillion, cannot take trees)

Felt that the inclusion of the river bank doesn't quite work for me, it is leading out of the frame. Maybe you could have given some space on the left.

OK thanks for comments.

- note to self... wondering if jpeg renditions of my pix (bottom right and left corners) are adding stuffs due to Picasa or just my way of processing pix.
- self-answer... combination of trying to recover shadow but it's also Picasa coz original processed picture didn't have as much jpeg problems.
Normally I load up as 1600 which already has the issues. So tried reloading as full sized pix... and for some reason can't retrieve the uploaded pix :-\ silly picasa

Trying something different. In #60, I had a very dark photo with predominantly the greenish lights standing out. Instead, I bumped up the exposure until all the noise show, and then tried the classic look.

In #61, I had a nicely exposed picture but bumped the lighting down, with slight colour corrections done as it was an LE shot with a ND110. Nowadays, I will take a normal photo before LE, and use that as a reference to tweak back (not very successful but better than default). Any thoughts?

Woooaaahhh.... still water. !!!

Yeap. I like the "green" lamps there also; they seem to stand out if the picture is dark. But unlikely I will go back there to take picture again :embrass:

Think your white balance for #59 is too cool.

For #62, maybe is better to omit the steps. The verticals on the left is abit off?

Is a pity that the top of the building can't fit entirely into the frame for #63.

#59 - it was a cold pix so I made it slightly colder. Just that time of the day before sunrise.

#62 - Included the edge in on purpose for this shot, to see how it would turn out. Yep, the verts are a bit off; thanks.

#63 - I tried a few angles already; can't fit that building in or chop something else away, or risk wonky verts. Took the lesser evil and cut off that building. Maybe need something wider :p it was also a matter of time before I had to run out of the restricted area  (see pix#59 and find staircase..)

I think between 7am and 7.20am thereabouts. Can't really remember; have to go back check photos. Note that the first shot, the lamp lights are still on but for the LE, it's not.

Maybe I'm more conservative on the WB part, find the blue tinge a tat over, but that is just me. :)

Yup saw the stairs in #59. Hmm... if you are shooting at 10mm should be able to fit the whole building.

:) 10mm from #59 can fit whole building
10mm from the stairs down a bit tight lah. Heh.

#64 as you said wonky verts, buildings looks as if it is falling backwards.

#65 would be better if you can shoot from some where higher. The Church tower cuts thru the frame vertically, making that third seems like dead space / extra.
