Hey guys, just received my jbcameradesign grip case. Delivery took 6 days to arrive to my mailbox. Pardon my review as I'm not use to typing reviews. :bsmilie:

Pros:
1. More space for your finger to grip on.
2. Doesn't feel cheap as material used is good high quality plastic.
3. Price is way much cheaper compared to the HLD-6.
Cons:
1. If you're using a CSLR strap like mine, the screw on mount cant fit the tripod screw and will leave a gap.

Excellent review!
I noticed the weak spot of the grip maybe at the battery opening.
Prone to stress, it may bend a little when handling heavier lens like the 35-100
But I still like this grip
Btw you can file the end of your screw to make it shorter and elminate the gap.

the jb grip looks errr.... not as nice as my rss grip...
The RSS indeed looks nicer, pity about the expensive price, especially the out-of-production silver version (;p) and high shipping cost

Bought the orginal grip from one of the forumer. It feel really good. Feel much stable when use on taking macro shots. Looking at the 3rd party grip, it looks flimsy and it does not have the shuttle button. Making it you need to stretch ur finger to press the shuttle. Just my opinion.

I'm gonna leave for the airport in like an hours time, and guess what I found in the mailbox!
yea yea, table messy and dirty...sue me lol.
all I can say is the difference with and without grip is like night and day.
It's a bit different from the original one obviously because it doesn't have the extra shutter button, but with my finger on the shutter, middle finger over the grip and my last 2 fingers on the it, it actually feels very natural. It makes the the pointless thumb grip useful as well.
Feels soooo much better with the grip!
My initial concern about the additional thickness is no longer there. I guess it helps make the 12-35 look more in proportion as well.
Long story short - get it. Just place an order, worth the wait =)
