I came across another OMD grip from a japanese maker. Seems nicer than the JB one but 2 times the price, still cheaper than rrs n oly ones though.

Wow this looks good! Where to get this? This one doesn't block the tripod mount and battery door! Wonder how it is attached with just that knob by the side?

I think it'll stress the side by a lot with this grip tho.

Yeah, it does seem that way. Not sure if it would hold in place safely haha. I went ahead and ordered a jb designs one, was informed that they made improvements to the tripod screw!

I've used it naked. Can't decide if I should get the HLD-6 instead since the only part I need is the grip only.

Bryson, I too only need the grip part, for me personally I wasn't ready to part with 300 bucks for a grip, even though I admit it looks beautiful with the camera.

the jb grip is a good substitute but i was able to get a 2nd hand hld6
