Can these 3rd party batteries be charged with the original charger that comes with the camera?

Yes, mine still shows 3 bars even after over 1hr of video, not bad. My only concern is with the charger.. i see there are only 2 pins and i'm wondering if there is any over temp protection during the charging process.

None that I've known of so far.
Even the 3rd-party batt sellers from eBay put disclaimers that their batteries can only be charged with their charger.
I've checked with sgcamera for 3rd-party batt and received the same reply.

As mentioned above, they cannot be charged with the original charger. Its a dilemma when u are traveling. Unless u have absolute faith in the OEM batteries and charger, u may have to bring your original batter+charger just in case.

if you can wait, you can try getting the acmaxx screen protector on ebay. works better than the $5 sold at TK as mine has scratches and dust stuck under the film after a few days of use.

acmaxx screen protector is a piece of harder plastic as compared to normal film right?

Its just a thicker better quality film. IMO quite easy to put on screen.

Nope. Touchscreen works as normal. Used it for 1 month already.

I got the $5 one from TK and it is really a fingerprint magnet...

From the picture shown in ebay, the Acmaxx film has a silver rim along the edges, right? May not go very well with the black body...:think:
