Valentine's Day is near! Ideas needed!?

But I don't believe in booking a fancy restaurant on that actual day to eat. I can't imagine squeezing with other dating couples in an all fully-booked dining place. I rather dine days before or after Vday, at least the place would not be that crowded.

Also, lets say my partner and I dine on the actual day, there will definitely be other couples with bouquets on their tables. It wil be so common... But lets say if we dine days before or after Vday, and I am the only one in the dining place to have a bouquet of flowers on the table, THAT will more special.

What for spend on something which the price has been marked up? I rather just have my partner with me on that actual day, probably cosying up together.. And celebrate on another day. At least the price will not be marked up. If a couple loves each other, everyday can be special... Not only on Vday. :)

My gf finds Vday too commercialized, everything expensive & couples EVERYWHERE with flowers. (think bring camera dat day & ask people for permission to take macro of their flowers can shoot until siao :bsmilie: )
So crowded & not special at all!
Luckily her bday is 2 weeks b4 Vday, so will celebrate together & buy bigger present & eat at quiet restaurants.
On Vday we will most probably cook some nice food & eat at home
 

i hate thinking =( i only love planning man. of course vday is commercialised. roses prices are mostly increased by 1000%? ONE THOUSAND PERCENT. so cooking is an idea. beach dinner is cool. it would ever cooler if you own a boat and cook on the boat out in the open sea. :bsmilie:

Dont need own a boat la, go rent one lor! A yauct will be a good idea, but then again, if you have the moolah to splurge on that! ;p

think i gave my old flame a multi-coloured swarovski pendant for v.day few years back in sec sch...cant remem its v.day or her bdae. ;)

give him something you can't get =) . is he your bf or something? a sweet kiss. a big hug. something memorable. practical stuff will just be forgetten. words and cards that make him remember the sweet time u spent together.

wife hints that she wants a solitaire diamond...if possible, a destinee. i told her that i will buy her shares in lee hwa jewellery at the same price as a destinee. still trying to convince her that buying the shares are more worth it than the ring. hahaha

I think most guys prefer something practical, not those decorative dolls, or flowers. ;)

Something that he can use, and when he uses it, will think of you lor...For eg. a L lens.
 

some ideas

ladies - flower, diamond rings or diamond jewelleries, homme/ LV / gucci hand bags,

mens - camera bodies , lenses, cars ,watch, wallet, pen, binoculars,

simple 1 - hold hand go walk walk n see people buy n carry flowers at the boat quay or clark quay
