UWA for A7(R) ?

Do you have the name/link for the adapter? Was looking for something cheaper than Metabones EF Canon to E-mount, which is about the same price as the lens :D
With the adapter, it will be manual focus, manual f-stop, but A7(r) can determine exposure (e.g. auto speed/ISO) and auto white-balance right? (and exif intact a you mentioned)

auto white balance shldnt be an issue. if you get the lens "chipped" and program it to 14mm the exif will be intact. but note that you can only program one aperture value and it will not change as you manually change the f-stop

the one i bought seems to be facing stock shortage issues. i see even the original site where i saw the adaptor first (mxcamera) has the techart adaptor removed from the page, and ebay prices have sored to US$400, same price as metabones

Oh Deo-tech is using Techart too, didn't realize this. Techart seems to be easier to find in eBay but some does not list whether they support A7.

If the exif only shows 1 fixed f-stop, this is not very useful, as I will still have to write down if I use the other f-stop. I probably only use f/8 or f/11 most of the time, but still it's good to have it automatically recorded in the exif.

I assume the camera will still capture exif for those in-camera function, e.g. speed/ISO.
So overall the chipped version does not help much?
About the same as using adapter without electronic contact?

It may also help with focus confirmation. You probably don't require it for 14mm @ f8 and above.

make sure you buy the EOS NEX II version or the Falcon version. the older versions do not support full frame. can tell easily by the price difference and by looking at the size of the optical path clearance in the adaptor

Yeah for UWA you will hardly need AF confirmation. Specially with focus peaking

Is it possible to remove the baffle? Maybe not, the assembly look different than the usual lens baffle.
$100 difference for the version II.

I always buy my adapters to this seller as much as possible :-)

Sometimes the scene will require some pano work due to space or size. The LR profiles found online doesnt seem to correct the image sufficiently to create a clean stitch. :(
