Hi, care to explain what is "upz" ? :(
always saw this but do not know what it mean, thanks

upz means bump the thread up

I have no idea about the battery status .. cos have not been shooting much
once again tks AhV for his effort !!

Hi Ahv,

Once again thank you for effort in exchanging our SANYO battery last year...as you requested...

the replacement bat is so far very good..way.. way better than the replaced batt ... so far i am using 8 pcs out of 12 pcs and used is to my SB600..... it is so good as in even i didn't used it for a month (just lying inside the plastic casing) and used it to my flash...the flash still recylced fast..unlike before after 5 days ..it totally drain and cannot even power my flash...anyway for those who still have the batch which is faulty..better replaced it to ease your frustration :D

cheers to all

Sadly, I have not been shooting too much due to real-life work tying me down. But the Sanyo batteries had not lost charge even over two three weeks of cold storage, and gives me hundreds of shots on my S2pro and hundred plus flashes on my SB80dx. I'll say the performance is pretty up to standard for now.

no worries, bro...thanks for the feedback... so far, feedbacks were positive on the replacements

Upzz again for awareness....

As for the rest of you, I ve been reading unusual discharge issues on 2100s and 2300s in other threads. My advice is to let SANYO investigate. If it is due to exposure to high temperatures or end of charge cycles, there will be no replacement. If not, they will offer you a solution...I hope this helps.

Glad to know most are enjoying their replacement batteries.

If you are still one of the unfortunate few, who were in the dark during the last replacement exercise for the OLD 2500s. Your options are :

1. Drop by Heeren, SANYO office during office hours and weekdays. Before going down, contact them and follow their instructions clearly as they need to test your batteries.

2. If you cant adhere to the above, contact me and I will try to assist.

Upzz for awareness..........

I've brought my 8 pieces of 2500 for replacement as they run out of juice 1 or 2 days after charge. Sanyo checked and replaced 6 pieces. I recharge and test at home but found the 2 that they didn't replaced still discharge quickly.

Have to make another trip down there and they confirm still have problems and replaced them as well. Wish their initial check were more accurate and save me my time and money to go there twice. Anyway, at least I still manage to get mine replaced so can't really complain too much I guess ... :dunno:

So far charge seems ok with the 8 new batteries

Well I brought down 28 pieces and 24 of them got replaced with the 06-01-0A batch, which seems to look okay, but requires further testing (leaving them for a week or so to check charge) to confirm. The remaining 4 pieces of the 05-03-0A batch, that were apparently tested okay, seem to losing charge quite a bit faster than the replaced pieces. Once again got to confirm with time, but I do suspect inherent problems with them, looks like might have to make another trip down.

upzzz for awareness ! :)

alamak ! now then you say... I never bring replacement batteries out le... even ortega and gang had replaced theirs with me the other night liao :) Unless you put your bad samples there and I replace them another day. Once I ve replaced them, you can drop by SLCC to collect them ? does this sounds confusing to you ? :bsmilie:

MTL...replace and enjoy your new batteries. I am your official "ja-ga" for SANYO batteries for the time being ;p

Hi Ahv! Thanks for your help man!

The batteries that were replaced in the first batch of 2500s are giving me problems now. They are discharging rather too quickly again. I charged them yesterday and today, they didn't have enough juice to run my CompactDrive at all. Sighz.... Almost kena heart attack man... Needed to backup during shoot. It'a a bit scary...

Do you know what batches will be problem free. I can't go for a shoot in peace, knowing that I got to bring tonnes of batteries and hoping that they will work for me. I need something more certain (if you know what I mean) to assure me that it will work when I need it to. To be frank, I am actually deciding whether I should jump the boat and buy other brands of batteries.

I decided to check on the "Sanyo" thread to see what the others have been experiencing. Well, I'm going swap them another round. I hope Sanyo deoesn't dissapoint the consumers... Can I just go to the Hereen office, without calling in advance? Thinking of going tomorrow.

 your case needs immediate attention ... can you read off the batch numbers on your replacement batteries ? I suggest you bring your batteries to HEEREN for testing. You are the first case ..... the replacements were made 'differently', so the discharge issue was solved. How many times did you 'abuse' the batteries ? Did you leave them in your car boot ? subject them to extreme heat ? or near high heat source ? ...bear with me, as I am thinking out loud  How many batteries are there ? did you try using them on other equipments ? Did you charge your batteries fully ? ...pai seh..not doubting you but sometimes electrical equipments do give problems too.

I will update SANYO accordingly...thanks for the feedback.

brudder, where u stay ar? i drive down to meet u at night lah... me also seldom go down liao. yesterday is cos somebody going mah, den go b4 go for dinner.

Adiemus is facing problem ....I am appealing to the rest of you who took part in the replacement exercise to give some feedback

If you are reading this for the first time, please do not be alarmed as it could be an isolated case. Rest assured that I will work with SANYO and give all CSers a satisfactory and logical explanation. I guess my duty to all of you still prevails :)

Just to ensure all CSers the level of commitment SANYO is giving to this issue... I have just highlighted Adiemus's case to them and they have replied promptly suggesting an immediate investigation. If we have other 'replacement users' facing the same problem as Adiemus, can all of you highlight to the receptionist that you are sending in the replacement batteries when you visit HEEREN ? These batteries need separate attention. We hope it's an isolated case as the batteries are serving most of our brothers and sisters well.

sorry, bro, I didn't use the replacement frequently, so cannot feedback on the replacement batch, though so far so good.

Though I am still using some old batch Sanyo AA more frequently, now start to show sign already.

No worries.... your old ones are failing..expected lo as they were made 'differently'.. We are concerned about the replacements now as there is one reported case. We just want to 'narrow' it down and find out if it was an isolated case  If you need me to replace your old 2500s, let me know.

Anyway, thanks for your feedback.

Upzz.... :)
