Hi,

I'm getting my 300D today.

Assuming I'm getting HOYA, what is the expected price for :

1. 58mm UV filter
2. 58mm Cir Polarizer

I'm going to get it during lunch today and I don't want to get 'chop' for
the accessories.

Hence, any help will really be appreciated.

THANKS !

1. 58mm UV filter - Should be around $12
2. 58mm Cir Polarizer - Think $40 can get, or did I get it for $45? Hmmm... think is $40

BTW, if U attch the polarizer to the lens, no point attaching the UV filter also. The cheapo UV filter is more commonly used to protect your lens.

I intend to have the UV filter permanently there to protect the lens.

The polarizer will only be used as needed - hence I still need the UV filter
there all the time.

Anyone else ?

THANKS !

Try to get the hoya HMC UV filter...cost about $30 though but optically its better. If use a normal UV on a DSLR..like wasted leh :D
Just my $0.02 :p

His price should be accurate. The two place I find which sold the cheapest Hoya filters is at Konata in Peninsula Plaza and TCW at Peninsula Shopping Centre.

Happy shopping :) .... Oh ... BTW, Konata and TCW might be the only place you can get 50mm MK II now, quite out of stock everywhere. TCW is selling it at $165, thus no point buying from them (they will tell you that too), I don't know how much is Konata selling, I only see him with stocks in his glass cabinet.
