Got mine today! Alan Photo $680 for 8gb, screen protector, mini tripod, card reader, spare batt. Spent another $10 to get this thing to keep dust from collecting at the lens attachment thingy.
Btw, does anyone know where I can get a gd pouch? Didn't get any cos none looks good.

hi aaron80, thanks for pointing out. didnt look carefully 
anyway got mine in the evening @ MS color hub!! reserved on the 15th Sept (quoted $689 + free 8GB, screen protector and OEM battery, tripod & cleaning kit) called them up after i read that stock has arrived.
but when i went down today, they told me it's $699 w/o the tripod & cleaning kit.......
in the end, they decided to sell @ $689 with the 3 freebies...
still looking for a nice casing too. the hard black case is $30 and not very nice...

My LX3 was without a casing for first few days and I did considered alternative leather casings to the DMW-CLX3 at first. But I have the impression that leather casings are pretty tight fitting and there are usually no compartments/ room for extra battery and/or SD cards. Also, I preferred something that I can easier "pull" out my LX3 for a "quick" snap. I may be wrong though. CSers who have leather casings such as the DMW-CLX3 may wish to clarify.
But I settled for Lowepro D-Pod25 instead. For your reference:

I am using a M ROCK Case which i got for $22. Not too bad, I also got one panasonic Lumix foam case one for the LX 3 for about $39..

Went to AP yesterday evening and was told they sold out the set. AP quoted me $680 cash price incl 8GB sd card, card reader, screen protector and oem batt. Went to Song bros(ground floor) as I was in a rush to get a camera... Was quoted $690 cash price and no freebies. Not even a screen protector. So pissed off that I went to World Audio. To my amazement, I was quoted $735 cash and no freebies. Not wanting to give up, so i went to Song Bros 2nd storey. This nice chap gave me a more straight forward and better deal. $679 with screen protector and some Proudly Malaysia 8GB sd card. Paid and went home a happy LX3 owner.
