Hi Rodney, JacePhoto & PettyPoh,

Are you guys buying this ?

Is this compatible with my Varavon slider + timeroid timelapse ?

Can this be fixed with a tripod on the slider ?

Thanks

ryan,

u should try using the timeroid (the panning head) first.

i think ur varavon system will already be able to do the exact same as this add-on

Ryan, DSLR Revolution is selling the slider and the auto-pan guide. You can give a try. They will not sell the unit without the slider though. Whether a slider works with the mechanism will depend on the length of the slider and position of the mounting holes on the slider.

Thanks pettypoh,

Somehow I have a feeling, the Varavon, can either do panning or sliding (ie only one at a time). It cannot do both.

If you see this video, when it rotates, the guy pace the timeroid body on a tripod instead of the slider ...

http://vimeo.com/63785434

But I am also curious whether if you put in a cable to drive motor 2, will it be able to do both at one go ? Need to buy the extra cable ... but then cannot mount the body on the slider as it will rotate instead of slide ?

Thanks

Thanks

will the mymirca control cable fit the varavon timeroid control unit?

varavon timeroid control unit is capable of supporting 2-motors, but i have yet to test see if it's one by one or two together =D

I don't think so bcos the cable for the mymirca looks like proprietary one leh ... I will go and buy an extra cable ...

Yes, I am also curious becos the timeroid can input 2 motors.

But then how do we stack the rotating body on top of the slider ? The screws/thread, i mean the male/female connector doesn't fit ...

1 x ball head on top of the timeroid panning device

1 x ball head (or a d-i-y platform) to fit in between the slider base and the timeroid panning device
