You see, from the few responses, you hear that people are ok with the wall fans blowing directly onto or towards the table.
I am giving another perspective. When you have fans blowing direct, it 'suck' or rather extract the air from the surroundings, mainly the food cooking that were not being extracted from the exhaust system. So it is diverted back at you. What you could have done is to provide more extraction fans to remove the heat trapped within the enclosure. Natural outside air will need to displace the air being extracted. More trees surrounding the food court will keep the outside air cool.
Of course for those that prefer the fans blowing directly, it is also OK. If you have seen thee hawker center being 'upgraded'. The number of stalls increased and space within each stall reduced. Hawker center is an essential part of Singaporean living. We need to plan them better and it could be our unique feature.
