Underwater fashion shooting?

I've done some modelling before and after viewing some excellent photographs of underwater fashion shoots on deviantart, I would like to have such photos in my portfolio.
I was previously a dancer so flexibility is not really an issue (although i might be a little rusty..:bsmilie: ) and also a fashion designer, so clothes are not a problem either.

I'm looking for photographers who are serious and professional in their line of work and not jus people who are into taking sleazy photos of girls in their swimwear.

Price is negotiable, but u will need to arrange for the location, makeup artist and maybe a hairdresser (?? although i'm not sure if it's necessary.)

I would require a meeting prior to the shoot to discuss the concept that the photographers might have.

pls email me at shadowmoon@gmail.com

=D and lastly. good day to u all.

thanks for reviving the thread. personally, i think i'll have some problems shooting, mainly because of lack of personal time ( ), and my dear mountain bike is still awaiting proper usage on the trails :D

by the way, i bought the last tattered copy of Sports Illustrated Winter 2005 edition yesterday at Borders... partially because there was a small writeup of how shoots were done, as well as a couple of photos by Howard Schatz. Wonder really, how he did his shots. the models looked totally at ease underwater. AWESOME!

I understand that there's a serious lack of resources and too many things to be concerned about...

and of course, I'm aware of the difficulties that I will face as the model (short of breath, keeping my eyes open, etc.... ) but i do think this would be a learning experience for all of us. hopefully turn out to be one of the best and interesting shoots ever? :bsmilie:

heheh~ thanks for such a speedy reply.:)

so far, the most suitable folks to shoot would be those with UW housings (eric, you there? ;) ) and oceanicfocus. :D

It would be great if something could be worked out. :)

a number of people here are keen still, i think....are u asking for TFP or fees for your modelling?

hmmm.... i'm asking for modelling fees, since this is not an easy task. but my fees are negotiable.

huhh?? You are asking us to take pictures of you underwater which you will use for your portfolio eventually and asking us to pay you to do that?

Do you have any experience in underwater modelling ?

photographywise no. But i've had dancing lessons conducted underwater. And no worries, I'll practice prior to the shoot.

hi whyZzzzz, I'm not asking for a huge amount. Just a token amount to cover the clothes that I may haf to eventually sew myself in order to create the best effect, and you have to understand that this is not an easy task. staying underwater with eyes open and not even breathing so that the bubbles would not spoil the picture. Not many are willing to do it. and even lesser are bent on getting good pictures underwater. My aim is the same as you, to get good pictures. Not those that only make me look good. They haf to make the photographer look good as well.

This may very well be a once off shoot... that is unless we do a very good job and start a trend here.

dancing underwater???

got such thing? :p

yeah~ lol~ it was to build up the tone of the body cause of the resistance of the water and also stamina. it was tough, but effective. =)

Is there anyway i could speak to u guys probably on msn or something? It would be easier for discussions. :sweatsm:
