Underwater fashion shooting?

siaoon got it right - personally i suppose this first trial is just literally, "testing waters" :bsmilie:

finer details such as backdrop (which a thin satin-like material comes to mind) should suffice. but to lug it BACK HOME after the shoot... heavy!

medical aid, we just need to have a PADI Rescue Diver on standby... who wants to volunteer

cheapskate me thinks, if shooting in daytime, lighting wouldn't be a massive problem, but if we're shooting in the evening, i can try to see if i can borrow a UK Cannon... but that one has a lot of dead plankton on it LOL

ok, i have pm-ed those whom i think are interested for the uw model shootout. mine is a very informal one, those who are interested in a better photoshootout should continue to follow up this thread and look out for astin's updates.

Elise is ok for the underwater shoot, but she prefers the first shoot to be a trial shoot, so I will limit to 2 participants only. I will arrange for a water-proof makeup and hairstyling, and also a swimming pool. The dress code will be either bikini or fashion or both, not too sure yet.

Elise will do this time as TFP/TFCD, I need to collect $60 for each participant, for makeup artist and makeup gadget as well.

I dont have any underwater pro camera, only a cheapo Nikon Coolpix with underwater casing. I also do not have diving gear and do not know how to dive, but I can swim pretty ok.

Yes, I prefer the first or perhaps even for the next few shoots to be a trial one. It’s unfair for you guys to pay since many of you here and me have no experience in this aspect. I believe nobody would like to invest too much money into this until there is result. Do you agree?

Austin, I would love to have makeup on for the trial shoot but after much consideration, I feel that it’s meaningless since it’s just trial shoot. Why waste money? I’m sorry if I have offended you in any way with my frank attitude.

At the current moment, I would like to know how many people are interested. No worries… It’s TFP. If many of you are, you guys can separate into different groups for several trial shoot. I need practice too and I believe you guys need too. =) My good pal, IRman, will be organizing the trial shoot. Whether the whole thing will become commercialize is another issue, which is too early to discuss.

I know of someone who just passed his Rescue Diver course few weeks back........but not sure if he will be "siao on" enough to do it not........ :angel:

Of course, Austin, I would show you the photos if the test shoot is successful. You are welcome to join in the test shoot. I hope you didn't misunderstand taht I am trying to "bycott" you or something. I simply feel that when we are more confidence in such shoot and have the necessary equipment, then, perhaps we commericalize it. We don't want to "pei seh" ourselves too.
