astin, i would suggest that the photogs do not scuba dive. if not we need to get the tanks as well, which can prove to be difficult in a private pool. of course, there is additional costs, and it would be better that the photogs dun go on scuba as the models will not be on scuba, so at least we avoid the photogs "stressing" out the models.. cos they will feel stressed themselves being very much holding their breaths while shooting as well.

yep, diving gear not necessary. just dive masks, weight + belt => more than enough. these we can *cough cough* loan from fellow UWCS ppl, who are sooo pleasant to work with. especially with an Ah Gong like me :bsmilie:

but can actually rent pool from condo for this meh? the residents go to longkang to swim then... :bsmilie:

if i'm not mistaken about the actual event itself,

Head Out of Water (HOW)
Head Under Water (HUW)

the photog communicates the idea to the model the desired pose HOW, then the model strikes up the pose to see if it's what's desired HOW, and then photog goes HUW to get ready first. model joins in HUW, and strikes pose. photog shoots HUW. both surface HOW. communicate HOW.

the water would be a concern, since chlorine may cause irritation, depending on concentration.

DTan, no la. now only 2005, where got 2012? :bsmilie: actually i think, 3 or 4 persons still ok-can-go, since more photogs may give rise to a situation where we can discuss on poses in case we narc... :bsmilie:

i dun see it as "have" to go scuba la... you can only stay down as long as the model can, and you need to come up to tell them what other pose etc that you need before the model ducks in again. of course, scuba is easier for the photog. i doubt astin wanna arrange for the tanks.. astin?

and now how does astin want to decide which photog for the session, now that he only wants to allow two?

Ok, I can arrange the pool, the makeup, the model. I dont have underwater pro camera, tanks, jumpsuit.
I asked Elise, she said she can swim and go under water and open her eyes. The clothing we can decide later.
The 2 participants need to have his own set of underwater camera. (beg, borrow or steal)
We will choose a weekend, early morning when the pool is very empty. It will be a pool inside a condo. Water depth is about 1.2m-2m, lenght is about 25m.

actually, the breath of the pool is the least of my concerns. a depth of 1.5 to 2 meters, or even more, would be great. would be good to have a pool up to 5 meters. wonder what would the NTU SRC say if i requested....

Don't forget the rest of the equip and support needed. You need a deeper pool. 2 meters is just way to shallow if you are shooting underwater. You will need some weights for the model so that she won't simply float away.

Best to have a diver in the water near by ... to supply air to the model and for that just in case moment, if you are shooting in deeper water.

Maybe i'm wrong but juz thinking... theres more things to look at than juz having models, fotogr, pool..

require any backdrop? extra lighting? Medical Assistance in case of emergency?

any plan.. of wat kind of photos to come out? THEME? POSING? or juz MODEL IN POOL.. Wack yr heart out style?

juz think 1 pool session wont be enuff.. as most time will be spending on getting everything settled.. gaining the experience.. maybe then need a 2nd pool session to be the exact shootout..?
