Tv mode in K10d

Ot again to avoid creating another thread: To prevent hand-shake, say I shoot at 35mm, I should use a min shutter of 1/35 or 1/(35*1.5).

think the rule of thumb for film is the shutter speed for hand held is 1 / (focal length you are shooting at) seconds. Don't really think the crop factor affects, since its just a smaller image size without a change in the focal length. You have to increase the shutter speed accordingly only when you vary the focal length you're shooting at. From experience for digital in general u can increase this by 1, 2 stops (even w/o SR) and even more when you have SR.

I see. So the k10d is actually clever. I thk i'll stay in the auto EV comp mode. so at least I know if my shutter speed is acceptable. Thanks.

Fengwei, try your K20D, i think it's the same.;)

Yes, you are right. If the light isn't bright enough, the aperture can't go any wider, then the Tv value can't go higher, unless you change the ISO to a higher value :)

Thanks for pointing this out.
