Trying to make the most of nobodies time

Hi,

At last, able to take some photos with my camera.

Here are some of the pictures.

Need some advice on how to place the pictures on the post.

Hi,

Thank for the help.

Cheers.

As a parent with 2 small children and no help, shooting can be a hard task.
Even just to be able to get out the door is difficult.
Often, one becomes his own prisoner, locked in by responsibilities, the expectation of others and even love.
So I've decided when possible during weekends to get out in the early hours to shoot some photos.

"Nobodies time", the time to me, when the family is asleep and won't need me.
Just me, my bicycle and the early morning scene....

If you are like me. Busy parent, no time to shoot, no consistency to have a running thread for the landscape genre, do feel free to post your shots here too.
Hopefully this thread will inspire others (like me) to find that bit of 'Nobodies time'

Hi bro, nice to see this thread pop-up...and nice pic you've got...

Well, hope I'll be welcome to this thread and post too:embrass:...heee...!!

I know exactly what u mean. Although I have just 1 newborn with no help. Morning while everyone asleep is the best time.

Btw great shot. Able to share where this is?

Yes...can understand what u meant;)

Hi,

Very nice photo that you took. I too have very little time to use my camera. Always need to carry a lot of stuffs for my kid and wife.

Well, me too, especially the recent months...*sigh*...(...how to carry anymore of my 'gears+own_time', after their 'barang-barang' were all 'bundled'-to-me...:faint:).....Hahaa...!!!!!

~ Dry times ~

A bit of a delayed photo.
This was from last week.
Headed to a high spot in Yishun in the earlier hrs, but the day was cloudy and the spot did not turn out to be as good as thought.
Rushed off after two shots there to this 'sure' spot instead and tried out this frame rather than the often shot 'pontoon to jetty' location.

I'm glad I managed to push myself off bed and check this place out.
Too bad it was not the best of sunrises.
Thats one of the big limitations with being largely limited to shooting on one day in a week, got to make the most of whatever nature hands out for that day..

Marina Bay Sand, The Helix Bridge, Garden-By-The-Bay and Singapore-Flyer!!

Managed to have a couple of minutes so just a quick snap with my previously owned SONY-HX9V...:embrass: and took this shot through a rather smearing dirty-hazy-glass plane from my client's office...(...the 'Best' spot that I could get away with:(...)...hmm, hope to have better ones when I have more times!!:)

Nice spot to shoot!
Wish I had a chance to even enter one of these venues.
Timely too with those floating New Years Day floating balls.

Novel Idea, maybe you can clone off some of the balls to form a word. :D

Lovely idea and great images bro, looks like DA15 in action? Same situation like you you probably know too, I'm more sunrise than sunset. Just did one sunset earlier from a trip back from Melaka as family went to Genting, had to scramble to shoot with whatever "nobodies time" that's available :)

Nice minimalist.
The aura from the sunrise covered by the smog, gives it extra impact.

Thanks.
Yeah, mostly done with the DA15, its the smallest/lightest setup to go out with by bicycle, though I'm now adding the DA40XS pancake (almost no weight and size).

Many nice contributions from busy parents so far and nice shots too.
I know a lot of guys can shoot well, but just no time/consistency to build up a photo thread due to the tight schedules.

~ Standing tallest, alone....., selfishly.... ~

Took this shot when I joined the CS organized Capital Land walkabout.
As the walkabout was at 2pm to 7pm on a long weekend, it was certainly not 'nobodies time'
I'm not sure about other parents.
But for me, there is no help from anyone with the kids.
My wife and I are to the neck with chores and minding the kids, 24/7, and we depend on each other to carry the day through.
You can imagine my guilt and selfishness, leaving the family at home for what I thought would be exclusive access to CapitalLand buildings.

So as the title.
On the tallest building, but alone and selfish.....

(BTW, a double whammy, the selfishness did not pay off.
No U-tun syndrome reared its ugly head once again during the walkabout.
Security and tenants denied any special access to the buildings.
The above shot, I took before security denied access to all floors except the lobby.
Ended up, I could have spent quality family time with the kids on the weekend.
Perhaps it was punishment for using 'somebodies time'. )

*Sea-scape which was taken last month during holiday.

It is not a nobody time, instead there are many tripods and cameras lined up to capture the fireworks.

First attempt to take the fireworks and the times were well spent.

Nice 1st attempt, your shot is a motivation for me to try to go try this year. (after many years of considering :) )

~ Steel sapling ~

Not the best of sunsets, but managed some time before dinner to snap at an easily accessible spot.

Thank you.

It is good to have practice before the actual day I guess. The fireworks are just so-so and I was busy with the shutter all the times. It is really fun!

I will be going back to shoot again when I back in 2 weeks times.
