ppcp for me anytime.. or you can look up for the slik 330dx or 340dx... imho they are slightly stronger than ppcp but came with a default pan-tilt instead of ballhead. Was considering the VCT-D680RM or the popular PPCP tripods for use with an A100. (i already have a wired remote though). Any tips which would be better?

How about this. http://forums.clubsnap.org/showthread.php?t=249003
oooooh.... Same price range as the PPCP....
Choices, choices...
I think it's between Benro & PPCP. Both are equally good to me.
it is a 1 time purchase. Even if you upgrade your system, change system, your tripod is still usable. If you buy a cheap tripod, upgrade and upgrade you spend more money instead.A bit out of my budget.
you sure ppcp is cf? benro has CF and Alu versions.. I'm quite sure PPCP only has alu version. On the whole it's a good deal, my only gripe with it is that the locks are plastics. I have broken plastic locks before on a trip rendering me with an unusable tripod and have sworn off them.Yeah.... The Benro is aluminum, the PPCP is CF. Benro's build looks a bit more solid, the PPCP is lighter.
:mad2: :dunno:

eh i think they mistook it as gitzo... ppcp is definitely alu, else it gonna be the world cheapest and best CF tripod.Well, that's what the MS Color people said...
