Got my Manfrotto 055XPROB with 410 geared head y'day. Great stuff! They rock.

SIRUI T-2204X + Manfrotto 410 Geared Head

hmm. realised 190XPROB is quite popular tripod. i was wondering, at max height abt 149cm, will it be too short for someone above 1.7m tall? just wondering.. :)

I believe 149 is not including the extended centre piece. Iirc my tripod w/o the centre piece is around 142-146. I'm 1.71 in height

149 + ballhead (10cm) + camera (10cm) = 169 agar agar, ur eye level at 169cm?

Okie I think 190xprob shd be a hight issue for u, bring ur camera along to try.

I am 173 and my 1st tripod is 190xprob and my current 2 tripod are shorter then 190xprob and I never find it a problem

I had a Feisol CT-3472 for about 4-5 years, the only triupod I cary around but it is not as compact as i want it..haha

Currently, there are only T...X series (Travellers), M (Magic), S (flat folding), and N series.

My suggestion is go get yourself a catalogue if you're serious about it. You can study in greater detail the different aspects of each series.

I got the N series, - it has a monopod leg built into it. The normal center column, and a spare really short column for minimum leg height. Comes with two screw in bases for the ballheads. One normal, one slightly larger in case you get a wide based ballhead...

There is also the R series (Regular?) ...TK only stocks the R1204 and R2204 and they seems to be the most economical of the Sirui CF range.

Looks like Manfrotto is a popular choice here.

i have a 055CXPRO4. i wish i can afford a Gitzo! :)

I'm also planning to get a sirui tripod due to its tripod & monopod combination but alas, its not very well known comparing to vanguard velbron....

trying searching their website & googling but not much details can be found...

mind to share a link to the tripod detail? I can't find the differences between their "N" & "M" Series...

Hi, I am interested in the sirui tx1004 as it seems to be very value for money. But i am 1.86m, and it ain't the tallest tripod around right? any alternatives to recommend? Thanks!

sirui t2204.. but then cost almost twice tx1004 :)

I just bought SIRUI T1005 plus g20 ballhead which is quite good and compact!

Bought Sirui T1205x + G10 ballhead for its lightweight & compactness to complement my m4/3 gears. :)
