Btw, how do you carry a tripod around? Can it be folded to half its length or something?

Anyway, You can get a Slik tripod bag at CP at abt $13 (I think) to house the tripod. Alternatly, you can DIY a tripod sling so that you can carry it like a sling bag.
i believe it does support 35mm slrOriginally posted by Belle&Sebastian
blizzy would the slik u8000 be able to support a 35mm slr ? cos i thinking of getting a tripod i can use for my 35mm as well... what is the max weight the tripod can take?
Yes,I own one & its supports SLRs rather well, my set up is about 1.2-1.5kg. But i mainly use indoors.
i am sure it is ok for the s40 but not too sure about the video cam...Originally posted by urban
Will the Slik 8000 be safe for S40 and a Sony Digital8 video camera?
the video cam weighs about 1.5 kg...i think
