Travelling lite

tis the season to be traveling! I'm sure many snappers are planning their year-end getaway and wondering what video gear to pack so that you get good footage but don't want to wear ypurself out hauling gear. My pick this year:

video camera:
RX100 markII. With the tilt screen, and the 1" sensor you can shoot really low light footage. Best of all, the camera is pocket-sized.

Tripod:

Technically not a tripod but more of a clamp. I'm sure you can find something to rest this thing on. RX100 is miniscule enough to sit nicely on the Joby. Pack a rubber band to get smooth pan:

Ok, I took the plunge and bought the SmartLav last weekend.

All dialogue recorded with it, except for the cop in the lift (RODE VMP. Lav audio turned out crappy due to his vest)
