Total Lunar Eclipse on 10th Dec

total lunar eclipse can only occur on day with full moon, reason is because moon, earth and sun need to be aligned together, and that is only possible on day of full moon.

Ahhh thanks. Learnt something new. Hope weather holds up and I get to see my first lunar eclipse this Sat.

Long exposure & bulb mode anyone? Haven't really try before, but I will be going to Botanic garden tomorrow if the weather is good and hoping to get some nice foreground to go with the moon.

Long exposure and bulb mode for moon? u will most likely end up with wayyy overexposed moon.

I thought about it again, I think you are right, I am better off with multiple shots then blend them together in PS...

ya hope so too! :angel::angel: the sky is so clear tonight! i can even see many stars despite the heavy light pollution + bright moonlight! hopefully tmr will be the same! :cheergal:

did some test shots.here r the results.

1)200mm

2)400mm

3)500mm

4)1000mm

All shots r taken either with a 500mm or 70-200 with/without the aid of a 2x Tc.
settings r at 1/160,F14 on a D3s.Pics r viewed as in 100%.NO PP of any kind r done!

but based on my Moon Path pic,the moon is at NE area..
would Labrador Park be a good location??

staying at sengkang and looking at the sky right now.. seems the city area and further north and west would be affected by clouds.. still a bit clear here in sengkang and much better near punggol.
