Torn film perforations

Hi all,

I recently got back a roll on my newly-CLA-ed Canonet QL17 GIII and the perforations at the end of the roll got torn, resulting in the camera repeatedly trying to take a shot but where the roll had actually ended. Any idea what could have caused this?

did you wind the film even after it has completed 36 shots?

Just like you suggested in your wording, this sounds like user error. If you feel resistance when winding, just stop and rewind your film.

happened to me before as well when i tot roll haven't finish so I cranked it again and realised got that "tear" sound.
So i would then rewind and found that when i wanted to rewind, felt kinda "loose".

So i waited till I got to a nice almost darkroom back home and manually wind the film back.
Realised the torn portions.
