Asking for opinion : which design u think will be nicer?
tail-end with reverse-clickie

I think the lower one's body with the upper one's head would be nice.

(will b doing 1 production run of the above models with HA-III surface treatment)

WAH! It seems to me that those are copying Surefire design. Sounds like an infringement leh. :nono::nono::nono: It is a real bad idea, IMO. Remember Arc got sued by copying also. Heh heh better don't get sued by Surefire dude.

Lower body with upper bezel combo looks better & won't look too much like SF too.

Thanks for your advice, & there are many ways to make a design "not-the-same" :sweatsm:

That's what I am thinking,
"18650" adaptable will be better (that'll be 2xCR123A not-so-friendly)? some "here-&-there" can be modified/improved

Well, no matter how you modified it, it still has the "trying-to-be-like Surefire" feel, looks like those cheapo made in China light which I would never buy them. If you are good enuff, go and design a good light and compete head on with the Surefire, Inova, Pelican...etc. rather than "stealing" people's design which it like no different from a thief. Do something like Dspeck, Mr.Bulk, Arcmania...I respect those people, they made good custom lights. Don't you agree?

relax buddy! people tell me Nokia handphone start to copy from Samsung's slide-phone, so I guess u don't own a Nokia? (just pulling your leg).
Whether this design or that design or another design, it's a trial-error @ this moment, so I don't have none to sell yet & you won't see 1 selling here also.
of course you are entitled to your own opinion your preference etc, nothing against u.

and also : design & custom made --> paiseh I have to admit to you i am far & far far away from "good enough" to smell any tail smoke from any big or small flashlight maker from CPF (hehehe). I don't know much how to crawl then how to be good enough how to fly leh?

"design a good light and compete head on with the Surefire, Inova, Pelican...etc"
I think u think too much liao, spare me lah :sweatsm: hehe

Relax? Haha......no need lah dude. I was just advising you, just saying infrignment of other people's idea no good mah. It is up to you. I am not talking about Nokia or Samsung, I am talking about your imitation torchlights. BTW, those 18650 is made in China one? Are those protected batteries?

No worry! Wait until the brother-big-big can really "catch" me coming out with a "commercial" version of "shiok-fire" than advice me on infrignment (just kidding) hahaha

18650 => same manufacturing source as the HK-AW
Protected or not depend on buyer's order. But protected ones might not fit some flashlight model yet (because of additional protection circuit & nickel conductor strip).

catEye, u manufacture torch light ah? actually, copy is mm..how most '3rd-country' start to learn..

U know when u get hands-on a lathe or working alongside with machinists (u or the one u wanna give instruction making what you wish your object to look like), u'll need a sample model follow, then u will start to understand the how other create all kinds of "curves" on the metal. So it's just like in the school days when guys went for the technical lessons (young "apprentice" learning how to "crawl"), you have to start from somewhere, probably following some great master-piece, this is not a "privileage" to the 3rd-world, it's everywhere. Maybe can say that everybody learn/copy from somewhere/some-point/sometime before you can really come out your own style. Of cos there will be some very gifted ones who will can just need one-step to fly into the sky "just-like-that". "Commercialisation" that will be totally another matter.

3rd world country... Japan was once a 3rd-world country who was superb in "copying" "modifying" American's. After donkey years of perfecting their "this-&-that", they become the "style/design master". Once they were "up-there" they become the target (or "idol") for the rest of the 3rd-worlds also (or maybe even 1st world?). So who's 1st who's 3rd? ;)

That was last time, it was in the past. For Japan scenerio, they were supported and assisted by the Americans and W. Edwards Deming. You tell me what is the Copyright Act for? Is it set up for fun? If one day you become like Surefire and one idiot go and copy your design and make $$ from it, your turnover got affected, what would do? Just let him to continue copying your design? It is like people here leeching other people's photo in CS, they are like thiefs. And you don't have to follow their ways. Arcmania, MrBulk, Dspeck and McGizmo have never ever copy any design of any other flashlight makers and they can still make good lights that many flashaholics love to collect. Come on, it is the determination and the will to excel not some stupid lazy lame excuses "like must copy other people's design" to help you "start-up". Be like our Mr. Sim Wong Woo.

Piper why are you so agitated? U are worried? U spent too much money on torches which would in turn be cheaper in the future? If you dont even have the ability make a torchlight even if you were to copy, I suggest you stop what you are doing. U only know how to talk big and flame him, cause its easy for you behind the computer. Stop acting like a kid, cause you only know how to use money to buy, at least ppl are leading their life with their ambition to make flashlight. This is part and parcel of the life. Not everyone can be like Arcmania, MrBulk, Dspeck and McGizmo and you are only naming 4 out of the whole world population who creates. Thats so small percentage. U may say About copyright but even he did, it is not up to you to decide, cause you dont work with the copyrights section in singapore. Now why dont you be a good boy and go spend more time and make yourself more money to buy those expensive torchlight which you will always ponder about but hardly will use it cause you just WANT IT and it is not a NEED.

P.S if you know whats good then you will stop this nonsense. If not which I bet you would continue this useless chat and its your turn to start another war to me which I think most probably I will ignore and carry on my life the way I would be in reality.

ok, piper got his point too. We shouldn't flame him.

Well, actually we all are started to do thing by copying..then we come about creating.

But if we bring it to the profitable market, we need to pay the originals some fee if we have made the profit, seem the originals have helped us in the product.

Hi Piper, relax, there is always the other side in everything.. somehow, the market trend should be adjusted as what consumer needs..let it be, if others have the ability to fabricate the same part as the originals, maybe it is the time for the originals to reduce price, or get manufacturing source from them, or just simply come out with a product with latest technology that people needs to catch up.

Be cool!
