Posted some landscape night shots HERE using this lens. I should say it's a very good sharp lens.

bought this lens yesterday (for Nikon mount) and must agree that the sharpness is good even at F2.8.

the only issue i have is the CA which is really quite pronounce at high-contrast area. i had a hard time correcting it using PTLens. however i noticed that Nikon Capture Nx is very good at removing it.

all considered, i'll give it 7.5 out of 10. :)

Pro:
- fast
- sharp
- cheap (compared to nikon lens)

con:
- CA

Is there a Nikon mount for this and is it compatible with D60/D40x/D40?

It has Nikon Mount and you can mount it onto D40/D40x/D60, but no AF. You can use it as an MF lens. Anyway, if you use it for landscape, MF is sufficient and UWA has very deep DOF anyway.:)

I'm using it with D300 and Nikon Capture NX is able to automatically correct the CA from the RAW files. I didn't check out the JPEG so can't comment much.

Thank you.:D

Anyone owns this lens and a 5d. I'm wondering how the corners look like at 16mm 2.8. If the quality is there I don't mind buying just to use as a prime 16mm 2.8

The answer is all in this thread, take sometime to look thru all the pages in this thread and you will get your answers. ;)

I noticed that the exposure at F2.8 is about 0.5stop brighter than other apertures... anyone else notice the same thing? :dunno:

this lens work on FF cameras @ 16mm right?
how about film cameras? does this lens work on older FF film cameras? anyone tried it before?

hi mfbatzap,
older film camera is equals to FF camera, there is no difference in terms of the image circle coverage.

And film is film, there is no FF film. There is only 35mm or 120mm ( medium format film ).
