Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 User Group

normally is it able to ask for discount when buying lens?

Hi Philomae, nope. Unless you are their regular. Otherwise wait for promotion or sale. What is your budget?

try the shop in Sutra Mall JB, the shop near the supermarket, 1st floor. I bought it @ RM1850.

I have one, somebody with a $800 budget offered me $500 for it =.=

To those who owned the MKII, what 77mm ND filter you can suggest to put on it? Price range also. Budget ard SGD 100.

Hi guys,

I shot this using 11-16 MKII and alot of glarings and dots in the sky. What is problem here.. My lens or cam body?

Please advise. Thanks.

Did you use filter? The flares are bad.

Seems like lens very dirty. You can even see black dots in the night sky near the left edge of the photo...

Haida filters. If you're on a tight budget I'd recommend getting them from Taobao :)

This version 2 is slightly smaller than the first and I feel is not as sturdy as the 1st version though it has a built in motor. Some photos taken with this 2nd version.

Hi anybody shoot tokina 11-16, using 16mm on FF (D800)? Will there be vignetting if I use a filter on the lens?

Tried on my 5d2 with 77mm cpl n nd. No vignette. Not sure about d800 though

Hi, I am planning to buy 1 of these. I have a Nikon 7100. Should i get the older one or the newer one

Frankly speaking I think the older version will be fine. The newer version had a inbuilt motor so that the lens can AF using entry-level Nikon DSLR... but that would not concern you because 7100 had its own inbuilt AF motor.
