Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 User Group

Thanks bro. Bought at MS Color (AMK Hub) for $940 with free 77mm emolux UV filter. Asked TK Photo and they quoted me $930. Reason i bought from MS was i stayed in the north, much nearer for me.

Oh thanks and now tk photo is abit cheaper,
Jus got a mail from cp selling at 925 without gst faint nearly 990.

The last time I called most shops before purchase, SLRR gave me the best price among all. As for now, I not sure. No harm make a call before go down.

I use both, because it's 77mm,it's a pretty standard size.
For CPL, of course need screw in type
For ND filters, you can always use slot in type from Lee to cheap Tianya ones.
On a crop sensor, at 11mm, you will see a little vignetting with a single slot in filter. at 12mm and above, it's gone.
For screw type filters, i have managed to screw 3 filters on with no vignetting at 11mm, all 3 slim filter UV+CPL+ND110

There are CPL for square filter brackets too. And as for the vignette, just use 100mm filters with the respective filter holder from lee, corkin or hitech. No more vignette at 11mm. A word of warning, it's not cheap...

Hey bro,

I just trade my 70-200 F4 L non-IS for a 11-16 f2.8 yesterday,
and when i go home i was trying the lens. i found fungus in the inner rear element..
Anyone of you guys know how much would the cleaning be?
It's still under 1 month international warranty.

Sorry to hear that.

Fungus is not covered under any kind of warranty.

Pricing wise, really depends on the amount of work required and you can probably get a quote only after the repair person takes a look at it.

Agent for Tokina in Singapore is Cathay Photo. Give them a call to ask where to send it in.

If you do not mind other repair options, you can try bro Fatigue, camera hospital, camera consultant.

U can try P&G, should be around $60-$80 if I am not mistaken.

But sigma 3.5 only $20-30 less thn canon 10-22...
