My main "go-on-holiday" and "use almost everywhere I go" lens is a Tamron 28-300mm. Great for general shooting but I wanted something better for capturing my scenic trips to places like the Grand Canyon.
Is it just me or is the wall glowing. Go easy on the sliders.

yes, small pocket of smoke at the bottom left.
i thought of ps, but decided against it after some thoughts.
first few shots are generally free of smoke, as u can see from this pic.
but after a few burst of fireworks had gone off the wind didn't help much as well.

My friend lent me his Nikon 12-24 F4 DX lens to use for the weekend. Not too bad.
How does it compare with the Tokina 11-16 F2.8 ?
